He just told CNBC that he is willing to cut Social Security

Donald Trump just told CNBC that he is willing to cut Social Security – just four days after President Biden pledged in his State of the Union to oppose cuts and make the wealthy pay their fair share. This sets up one of the top contrasts in 2024 that voters must pay attention to!

SIGN THE PETITION: I support the Democratic plan to protect Social Security from cuts and make billionaires finally pay their fair share of taxes – and I oppose Donald Trump and Republicans’ plan to cut Social Security to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

We will share the support for this petition with the media, the White House, and key allies in Congress. Please also tell your friends and family about it, so the word spreads!

Answering a question about Social Security, Trump told CNBC on Monday, March 11 that, "There is a lot you can do in terms of entitlements in terms of cutting."

In his State of the Union address, Biden said, "Anyone here tries to cut Social Security or Medicare or raise the retirement age, I will stop you…We have two ways to go. Republicans can cut Social Security and give more tax breaks to the wealthy… I'll protect and strengthen Social Security and make the wealthy pay their fair share."

President Biden used verbatim the Progressive Change Campaign Committee and Data For Progress's top recommended language (as reported in advance by Politico and RealClear Politics) for driving contrast on the economy.

Democrats are united in wanting to protect Social Security and make billionaires pay their fair share, while Trump and Republicans want to cut Social Security in order to cut taxes for billionaires.

SIGN THE PETITION: I support President Biden and Democrats who want to protect Social Security from cuts and make billionaires finally pay their fair share of taxes.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
