Look, for as long as I can remember, my life has centered around the basic belief that when level-headed people come together and treat each other with respect, we can find commonsense solutions that improve people’s lives. Maggie Hassan shares that belief — it’s why she told me to email you.
It’s clear that politicians have lost sight of that mission in Washington D.C. That’s why I’m running for the United States Senate in Kansas. We must do better for our families. But to win this historic race, I need your support today.
Growing up in Kansas, both of my parents worked in health care. My mother was a nurse practitioner and my father was a doctor. He made it his mission to make health care more affordable for working families through innovation.
Like my father, I became a doctor to help people. And I first got into public service because I witnessed firsthand just how broken our health care system was. The costs are far too high and access is too low. Families are drowning in medical costs while some can’t even get basic care.
So I ran, and won, a seat in the Kansas State House and then in the Kansas State Senate. There I was focused on expanding health care, funding our schools and growing the economy for Kansas families. I was always focused on solutions rather than partisan politics.
I am a doctor; that’s just how I see things. I went into public service for the same reason I went into medicine: to help people. Plain and simple. But sadly, many politicians have lost sight of that mission.
We’re at a crossroads in America in 2020. We need leaders who will put our families first. We need public servants focused on finding solutions for regular people, not waging petty political fights. We need to send commonsense leaders to Washington. That’s what brings me here.
I choose solutions. I choose the people. I will be the voice of reason Kansans deserve. Chip in now if you’re with me in this fight to win the Kansas Senate seat in 2020 and take back the U.S. Senate for Democrats in 2020! Hurry, we’ve got a big public fundraising deadline on Tuesday and I could really use your support before then.
Thank you,
Barbara Bollier
