Did you know that after March 2, millionaires stop paying into Social Security for the year?

This is because the payroll cap – the maximum amount of a worker’s earnings that they contribute into Social Security – is $168,600 for 2024.

Yet nearly every single one of my colleagues from the other side of the aisle recently offered a budget plan to raise the retirement age to 69 and voted to cut Social Security Administration funding by 30%. While Conservative politicians want to keep you from your benefits, House Democrats are fighting to strengthen and expand Social Security, ensuring you get the entitlements you've worked so hard to earn.
