Thank you for everything you do to protect and preserve our national parks.

Dear Friend of the National Parks,

All of us at NPCA hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and
safe during this unprecedented time.

Even as our communities struggle to adapt to the evolving COVID-19
pandemic, NPCA is continuing to protect your parks from new dangers.
Which is why I am asking you to help us reach our March 31 goal
tomorrow by supporting our new Fight for Your Parks campaign. We must
act now to stop the escalating attacks on our national parks.

Our national parks belong to each and every American. So we all have a
stake in this fight - and we all have the power to make a
difference. Here are four reasons why we all matter to the future of
our parks:

1. The President's Budget. The White House's new budget
proposal includes nearly $600 million in new cuts to FY21 funding for
the parks, and would undoubtedly do harm to every national park and
monument across the country. Stopping these cuts is one of our highest
priorities.

2. Trump's Illegal Land Grab. President Trump illegally
downsized Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments
by 85 percent in 2017. Your gift will help us keep fighting to restore
these monuments in court through our National Parks Legal Defense
Fund.

3. Oil and Gas Drilling. The administration has now leased 24 million
acres of public lands to oil and gas drilling, an area the size of the
state of Indiana, including lands that cut through vital wildlife
corridors. NPCA needs your help to take on the industry lobbyists
trying to plunder our parks for profit.

4. Air, Water and Wildlife. The White House is pressing to gut
conservation laws that have protected clean air, clean water and
wildlife in our national parks for decades. It is up to us to stop
these attacks and preserve the parks' scenic beauty and rich
history.

There are many reasons to be worried about your national parks, even
while our nation pulls together to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
And if dedicated NPCA members and supporters like you continue
defending these special places against all threats now, we can assure
a bright future for these treasured places.

When you donate before midnight tomorrow, your gift will be matched
100% thanks to a generous NPCA board member ... and help us fight
for your parks and the millions of Americans who care about them.

The Great American Outdoors Act, which provides significant relief to
the Park Service's maintenance backlog and long-sought permanent
funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, is an example of
what we can achieve when we work together. This bill should begin
moving again in Congress in the near future. Now is the time to roll
up our sleeves and build on this momentum.

Will you help? Please pitch in and help us reach our campaign goal by
tomorrow, March 31 if you can. Every dollar will be matched up to
$30,000 and go twice as far to defend the parks you love.

We want to make sure that when the world is safe again,
America's most iconic and inspirational places are safe, too. We
are grateful for your continued support as your particular situation
allows at this time. Be well, and thank you for everything you do to
protect the parks.

With gratitude,

Theresa Pierno
President and CEO

P.S. When your new member gift is received by midnight tomorrow, it
will be matched 100%, dollar-for-dollar, and count toward our Fight
for Your Parks campaign goal. Thank you so much for your support
during these extremely difficult times for all of us.
