Sarah Huckabee Sanders, along with state transportation, tourism, education and health officials, held a press conference on Monday, March 4, 2024 to discuss preparations for the April 8 eclipse. What you need to know: The U.S. economy added 275,000 jobs in February and the unemployment rate increased to 3.9%. The unemployment rate is now at its highest in two years. In addition to the overall unemployment rate increasing, the unemployment rate rose for women, Black Americans , Asian Americans, Americans with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma. Job gains for December and January were revised sharply down by 167,000. The U-6, a broader measure of joblessness, increased to 7.3% – the third consecutive month this measure has increased. 1.2 million foreign-born workers joined the labor force while 420 million native-born American workers left the labor force. The bottom line: Despite Biden’s attempts to downplay his economic failures, American are not fooled; they know Biden is to blame.
