Dear Friend,

Like so many other events around the world, the Boston Marathon has been
postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this setback, after months
spent training and preparing for my barefoot run to support PETA, I'm as
determined as ever to help animals.

As most of us adjust to social distancing from our homes, countless "outside
dogs" are languishing on heavy chains, hoping someone will welcome them indoors
as part of a loving family.

That's why I'm still working to raise $20,000 to support the PETA fieldworkers who are
helping animals in need right now.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of PETA members, I'm already halfway to my
fundraising goal. I remain committed to helping animals through the uncertain times ahead, and I
hope you'll make a commitment, too, by supporting my fundraiser today. Together, we can help PETA's fieldworkers provide "outdoor dogs" with the food,
shelter, and veterinary care that they desperately need. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Scott DeFusco
