Dear Health Advocates,

For the second week in a row, Congress once again averted a shutdown by passing another funding bill on Friday. Our healthcare priorities, like pricing transparency, site neutral payments and lowering prescription drug prices did not make it into these funding packages. We put out a statement from our interim Executive Director Yael Lehmann that you can find here.




While Families USA and our partners are disappointed, we will have another opportunity in the not so distant future to ramp up pressure on Congress to include these priorities in their year-end funding packages. We encourage you to keep taking action and tell your Senator to vote YES on Lower Cost, More Transparency, so we can keep these priorities top of mind.
