Message from the JMC President
Dear John,

I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and in good spirits. We are thinking of you.

This is a unique moment in our nation’s history and difficult time for many of our people. Yet America has faced extraordinary challenges throughout its 243 years, and we always prevail.

Until our country is back on track, we will make the changes we must in order to continue our work. Campuses have gone online, but professors have not stopped teaching. Events have been postponed, but we have new ways to support our professors and reach the minds of students.

In short order, our partner professors have already banded together with us. They are sharing content, offering an exchange of online visiting lectures, and discussing challenges and best practices working in this new learning environment.

We are currently expanding our online platform and connecting scholars together so that we can make the most of this opportunity to further deepen student knowledge of our history and founding principles. In this time of isolation, students are even more eager to learn.

Our growing online platform is available to the public at large. This offers a unique opportunity for you, our community of supporters and friends, to see firsthand what our professors are teaching… and to know that the 1,000+ scholars in the JMC network offer a ray of hope on today’s college campuses.

If you have some extra time over the coming weeks while we wait for the coronavirus pandemic to pass (and it will pass!), I encourage you take a look at the expanding list of resources for professors and students.

Just to name a few:
I will continue to send you learning opportunities like these over the weeks to come. Please feel free to share them with your friends and family.

Here at the JMC, our work continues. Among our plans over the coming year, we are excited to expand our team to support our program growth.

If you would like to discuss our programs in more detail, or learn more about how we are working at your alma mater or on campuses in your area, please call Joe Garecht at 484-436-2067 or e-mail him at [email protected]. And  you can reach me directly at 484-436-2061 or [email protected]. We would love to talk with you via phone or video meeting.

Thank you for all you have done for the Jack Miller Center, and for all you are doing in your own community. Stay safe and healthy. We are in this together.

With gratitude,
Mike
