Friends and Comrades- We've got two important events this Saturday, as well as important news about an Uncommitted New Mexico campaign and continued pressure on the City Council around Gaza. Read below for more details!

Saturday Events

If you're someone who wants to support your trans friends, family, and comrades, but feel disconnected from the topic and want to firm up your understandings, then please attend this educational session! Sasha (and Jonathan) will be covering some essential material and offering space for people to ask all the questions they have felt too awkward to ask. This session will move through the basics of trans 101, but will also cover the ways in which queer and trans people are an essential part of our larger radical movements. We'll cover the current attacks against trans people in the US/UK/Canada and go over how to dispel disingenuous anti-trans rhetoric which is all too common.

?

Our first session will take place at on Saturday, 3/16, at 1pm at Earthcare.

Join Santa Fe Jews for Justice and Santa Fe DSA for an evening of Jewish Resistance songs performed by Jordan Wax to raise funds for the UN Palestinian refugee agency.

?

The show will take place Saturday, March 16, from 5-7:30 at Baby Grand (2889 Trades West Rd. #E)

Tell the City Council:Ceasefire Now!

Our chapter and other allied organizations are currently collecting signatures for a petition demanding the City Council pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. If you are a resident of the city of Santa Fe, please consider adding your name to the petition at this link.?

Support the Uncommitted Campaign!

19% of the vote in Minnesota. 13% of the vote in North Carolina. 29% of the vote Hawaii. All over the country, people are standing up in the Democratic primary and telling President Biden that he can't count on their vote if he continues to support genocide in Gaza!

?

At our Organizing Committee meeting this week, our chapter endorsed voting Uncommitted in the New Mexico Democratic primary and support these efforts all over the country. We'll have more news on this local campaign soon but for now, Washington is the next big target state that you can phone bank for!

?

You can sign up to phone bank in Wshington today here and tomorrow here.

DSA depends on support from ordinary members, rather than corporate funding or grants. As we ramp up our campaigns to take on the millionaire and billionaire class in New Mexico, any donations you can provide will go a long way.
