For decades, Washington Conservation Action has worked with community members like you. Together, we have helped to elect environmental champions, to pass the nation’s strongest carbon law, to reduce pollution in Puget Sound, to push for forest management that reduces fire risk, and much more.
In 2020, our organization launched the Evergreen Future campaign to elect environmental champions and to hold leaders accountable to ensure bold environmental legislation. This program cultivated a community of more than 3,000 volunteers statewide who have consistently shown up to take action and directly contribute to some of Washington’s most significant wins: our state’s polluter-pay carbon law, the Climate Commitment Act, requiring cities to plan for climate change, funding for clean transit, and more. After four years of success, the Evergreen Future campaign is sunsetting.
Today, we are thrilled to launch a new program that celebrates WCA’s most committed advocates and cultivate grassroots leaders like you. Washington Conservation Action Ambassadors is a virtual community focused on building advocacy skills to advance environmental, social, and political progress in Washington state. Develop strong advocacy techniques. Connect with other activists. Create lasting change in your community.
Why become a Conservation Action Ambassador?
Be a Changemaker. You’re the first to know about upcoming opportunities that directly contribute to advancing environmental progress and social justice in Washington.
Refine Leadership Techniques. Gain valuable knowledge and skills to become a conservation leader in your community. You’ll have exclusive access to resources, training, and toolkits.
- Be in Community. Connect with people around the state who share your interests and goals and build a community of conservation leaders.
- Find your Political Voice. Engage directly with lawmakers, local leaders, and elected officials. Hone your vision for your community. Advocate for environmental priorities.
