Made in the USA, it used to be stamped on nearly every product on the shelf. But over 40 years of disastrous economic policy devastated our manufacturing base and hollowed out our working class.

We need an economic revolution that brings good-paying union jobs back and makes America a 21st-century manufacturing superpower. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS Act, we’re on the right path. We’ve added nearly 800,000 new manufacturing jobs in the last three years. And we’re just getting started.

It’s time to get people excited to buy American-made products again. That’s why Representative Debbie Dingell and I have introduced the Made in the USA tax credit. This legislation would provide up to $2,500 in tax credits to individuals and $5,000 to married couples for purchasing goods that meet the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Made in the USA standards, which require that a product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S.
