Hey there!
I'll be straight with you, I've done a lot of tough things in my
life. I played college football, tried to make it in the NFL and CFL.
That was tough, mentally, physically, emotionally.
I served as a Capitol police officer for over 15 years, those were
tough some days.
But the aftermath of the January 6 insurrection was one of the
toughest things I've been through. My pain, my trauma, it didn't end
on January 7.
Even after the violence of that day, I dealt with death threats. I
dealt with people harassing me for speaking out. And when I decided to
testify in front of Congress? It was one of the toughest things I've
ever faced.
But I did testify, because it was my duty not just as an officer,
but as an American. I made a big step the day I testified for the
January 6 committee. I stepped in the direction of protecting our
democracy.
And I've never looked back.
I'm
ready to protect our democracy as a Congressman, and I need you to
join me. I wouldn’t ask if this fight wasn’t absolutely critical –
will you split a donation between Marcus and my campaign before my
mid-March deadline? It's going to be tough, but like I said, I'm no
stranger to tough.
