ZOA Campus Participation in Florida
State Capitol Israel Day
Florida's first “Israel Day at the Capitol” event took place on Thursday, February 29, 2024. It featured many diplomats and community leaders, as well as survivors of the infamous Nova music festival.
ZOA Campus was incredibly happy to participate in this momentous event, represented by ZOA’s Southeast Campus Coordinator Ariana Hoblin. Ariana welcomed and shared ZOA’s education resources with community members in attendance.
During “Israel Day at the Capitol”, the IHRA definition of antisemitism was passed as state legislation. This significant policy has been long overdue nationwide, and we commend the state of Florida for setting an example that other states will hopefully follow. The ZOA and other Jewish community members were inspired by the overwhelming show of support and solidarity.
