The Minnesota Legislature just kicked off its 2024 session.
And now that the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party has total power in St. Paul, that can only mean one thing:
Look out for your wallet!
Fact is, we’ve got some big spenders calling the shots in the Capitol, and Minnesotans like you and I need to watch them like hawks, making sure they don’t hammer us with another wave of big taxes and pork-barrel projects (like renovating and expanding the State Office Building).
The good news is that I’m working with Speaker Johnson in Washington to defeat any new Biden-Schumer boondoggles, so I hope you will chip in a special campaign gift to fuel my fight for fiscal sanity in D.C.
Maybe it’s because I grew up on a Brown County farm, but the wasteful spending we see from career politicians is infuriating to me. I was taught to stretch every dollar. And if you couldn’t afford something, you didn’t buy it!
That’s not the prevailing wisdom in St. Paul or D.C. right now, which is why it’s so important for you and me to stand together.
