Children in Care have often faced great loss and change.? They need committed, caring, creative Foster Carers to care for them.? To enable Foster Carers to do an amazing job we need to support them with a Fostering Service that has a committed dynamic and efficient team.
? ??
Come be our Team Manager, we have a fantastic team of people and Fostering is one the most important Services our Council provides.? Supporting and caring for children who have suffered loss and harm requires huge compassion, and the very best care possible.? Our Foster Carers need excellent support from a Service that recognises and values their skills, and a Team Manager who can lead a team of dedicated Supervising Social Workers, and respond to the changing pressures in this Service area.

JOB PURPOSE:
  • Ensure professional practice is within the Fostering National Minimum Standards and that these are upheld and maintained at all times.
  • Provide line management and professional supervision to a team of Social Workers.
  • Monitor the quality and performance of the team working with Foster Carers' and Foster Carers' families caring for the children in Foster Care.
  • Demonstrate good effective leadership and motivational skills, ensuring good communication within the service, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and service user focus that delivers good outcomes for children.
  • Be responsible for providing the regular monitoring reports on the performance of the service.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively with Service Users as well as a range of Agencies and Professional groups, in order to improve and deliver good outcomes for children and support the foster carers.
  • Detailed Knowledge of National Standards and Fostering Regulations 2011 and the Children?s Act 2002.
  • A commitment to high quality child-centred services and continuous improvement.
