Ramadan Mubarak!
This Ramadan, I’m reaching out on behalf of all of us at Muslim Advocates to wish you, your families, and your communities peace, blessings, and spiritual restoration during this sacred month.
This Ramadan in particular, we are inspired by the steadfastness we have seen across our communities. The genocide in Palestine and its domestic ramifications have again demonstrated the urgent and essential nature of our shared mission to fight for justice and dignity. We are also reminded of the power of the collective to bear witness and speak truth no matter the cost. It’s that bravery that lets us reach for a world where finally we can allow resistance to give way to renewal and where we can all be free.

In the midst of the struggle and anguish surrounding us all, the team at Muslim Advocates is honored to be allied with you on the front lines and having a critical impact. We have represented and advised student activists on universities in multiple states who are risking everything to demand a ceasefire in Gaza, we have led coalitions to raise our communities’ voices in high-stakes federal cases, helped launch transparency suits to expose anti-Muslim discrimination, and we have pushed federal agencies to reckon with the power and demands of Muslim communities at the policy level.
In all of this, we know that our work would not be possible without our partners: organizations working on campuses to protect student rights, committed advocates working to protect immigrants entering this country, and organizers calling for an end to inhumane and unjust treatment of those living under the carceral system in this country.
Throughout Ramadan, we will keep you informed about the impact we’re having and we will share resources and information that we trust will inspire you to get involved. This time is crucial. We must continue to respond to the demands for our legal advocacy support—each one more urgent than the last. We rely on our courageous supporters to buoy our efforts with their passion, ideas, and their investment on our shared future.
