$59,428 is the average income in America, friend, but in many of the Blue Dog states, it’s much much lower. In Alaska, it’s $34,881. In Texas it’s $31,462. In our co-chair Marie’s district it’s $43,266. In Maine, folks get by on average just $30,850.
So, it’s pretty safe to say that Blue Dogs are representing working people, so we know what we’re asking when we ask for your hard-earned dollars.
We’re doing it because we also know how important it is to have normal, hard-working people in Congress who instead of walking party lines are going to sit down and get something done for the people they represent.
What Blue Dogs do is we support our 10 incumbents in some of the toughest fights as well as our new endorsements to flip red seats across the country – we give them direct funds to help support their campaigns and those funds come directly from grassroots donors like you, friend.
Blue Dogs are normal people in Congress who want to get sh*t done. We believe in freedom and we’re fighting to protect yours. We’re pro-America, pro-democracy, and working to pass fiscally responsible policies that benefit everyday, hard-working Americans.
