Fighting for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses 

This week, we celebrated House passage of my bill, H.R. 2799, the Expanding Access to Capital Act. This legislation will facilitate capital formation by strengthening our public markets, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs, and creating new opportunities for all investors.

This is a significant step in alleviating the unique challenges faced by job creators and their investors who live outside major financial hubs. By expanding access to capital, entrepreneurs and small businesses can live their American dream.

Hosting Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell 

This week, I led the House Financial Services Committee in a hearing with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. Although Americans are clearly suffering under inflation, Democrats have decided to tell people what they’re feeling isn’t real. They claim ‘Bidenomics’ is working. But it’s not working for Tenth District families.

Some Democrats have taken aim at Fed Chair Powell in an attempt to shift blame for inflation fueled by their overspending. During this hearing, I implored Fed Chair Powell to ignore politics and remain focused on sound monetary policy.
