John, I’m emailing with some good news and some bad news.
Here’s the good news: Thanks to the Democrats, half of our government is funded. We helped pass a minibus through Congress, showcasing our seriousness about funding our government. We’ve been hard at work negotiating to find common ground for the good of the American people. But the next funding deadline is on March 22nd, and this will be our biggest test yet.
This is where the bad news comes in: extremist, far-right Republicans are still REFUSING to come to the table. In this last vote, 83 radicals showed they would rather buck their own party leadership and play political games than work together to find real solutions. And who pays the price for their political posturing? Everyday, hard-working Americans.
We need leaders in Washington who won’t play games with our livelihoods. That’s why it’s crucial Democrats take back the House this November – and it all starts right here in PA-08.
