This should tell you everything you need to know about what kind of politician Latimer is, and why we cannot afford to let him replace Jamaal in Congress.

Justice Democrats

Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s moderate, AIPAC-backed opponent just gets worse and worse, John.

Early on in George Latimer’s tenure as Westchester County Executive, video surveillance of an inmate’s death at the Westchester County Jail was released. The state of New York found the jail’s medical provider, Correct Care Solutions, played a role in this unfortunate death, which led to public calls for a new medical provider.

Instead of listening to these demands from the people he was elected to represent, Latimer granted a new $41 million contract to the existing health provider after it donated $2,500 to his campaign.

According to The Intercept, “[Latimer] has cited the quality of the county jail as proof of his administration’s humanity. But after taking office in 2018, Latimer repeatedly ignored complaints from guards and detainees about the quality of the food and medical services in the county jail, while receiving thousands of dollars in donations from the companies that provide those services.”

This should tell you everything you need to know about what kind of politician Latimer is, and why we cannot afford to let him replace Jamaal in Congress.

Latimer’s congressional campaign took $600,000 from GOP megadonor-funded lobby group AIPAC, so you know he’ll do their bidding in Washington.

We can’t lose a progressive leader like Jamaal to this corrupt, career politician in June’s Democratic primary. Please, if you can, split a grassroots contribution of $3 to Justice Democrats and Jamaal’s campaign to help us re-elect him!

Contribute $3

Jamaal has been a true champion for working families, justice, and progress during his first two terms in Congress. Let’s do what it takes to defend him from this so-called Democratic challenger in just a few short months.

In solidarity,

Geoff Simpson
Campaigns Director
