PLANNED PARENTHOOD
As the Chief Medical Officer at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, I get to see firsthand the difference our providers make in the lives of patients. It's the quality medical care, of course. But it's also providing honest information. It's listening without judgment or agenda. It's putting the patient first, always.

There are two things I want every patient who is considering an abortion to know:
First: You are the expert in your own life. You are the only one who knows what is right for you, and our job as health care providers is to make sure you have all the information you need to get the care you deserve.

Second: You are not alone. Supportive relationships matter so much. Many people have a partner, a friend, a family member, or someone else on whom they can rely. And even if not, there are caring, compassionate nurses, doctors, and other health center staff who show up every day for their patients.
That commitment to helping patients get the care that is right for them is the core of who we are at Planned Parenthood. Today is National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers, and I want to invite you to honor these incredibly dedicated providers. Will you make a gift to Planned Parenthood Federation of America in honor of those who help to provide abortion care, or in honor of someone you know who has received safe abortion care?

It's not always easy — especially when lawmakers are doing everything in their power to come between providers and patients. On the hardest days, I turn to the notes of gratitude we've received from patients past and present — notes from people like this Planned Parenthood patient, who reminds me every day why we do what we do:
Blue post it note of a Planned Parenthood patient in handwritten style font: Planned Parenthood was there for me on many occasions: from UTIs, STI testing, yeast infections, birth control, sex health education, and my abortion. I am forever grateful to PP. Caitlin

This is why we don't give up. These stories remind me, my team, and all of us who provide care at Planned Parenthood that our work is important, as is our unwavering fight to protect access to health care all across the country.

You likely know someone who has had an abortion, or have met someone who has provided abortion care for others. I hope you will make a gift to Planned Parenthood Federation of America in their honor today.

We recognize National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers as a time to celebrate the hard work of health care providers who are doing all that they can to be there for Planned Parenthood patients. That's what every patient deserves — care, no matter what.

Thank you for your commitment and unwavering support.

Gratefully,

Dr. Alhambra Frarey, Chief Medical Officer
Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania
