John,
I’m writing to share more information about a tragic situation that is unfolding in Montgomery County, where TWICE last year, officials released an illegal immigrant who was recently arrested in the murder of a 2-year-old. This is a violent criminal who had been released twice and walked the streets.
Nearly every day, we are seeing these types of stories reach national headlines, and this is a direct result of the crisis at the border. Whether it is in Montgomery County, or Athens, Georgia, it’s outrageous and happening far too often.
While I was governor, we fought to stop Maryland from being a Sanctuary State. We have to address the crisis at the border, and that's exactly what I'll do as soon as I'm sworn in as Senator.

Will you join me today in calling on Washington to secure our border now?

SECURE THE BORDER- SIGN NOW
Unfortunately, just days after this tragic murder of an innocent child in Maryland, one of my potential opponents in this campaign signed a letter urging Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to close detainment centers for illegal immigrants.
John, we need to stop the fighting and the name-calling that has become the hallmark of our broken political system. Republicans AND Democrats must come together to secure our borders and protect our families. If you agree, I’m asking you to add your name to our petition calling on Washington to put aside the partisan bickering and GET TO WORK for the American people.

SECURE THE BORDER- SIGN NOW
Thanks for your time,
Larry Hogan
P.S. We need to send an URGENT and UNIFIED message to political leaders that the partisan bickering and name-calling on both sides must STOP. Let’s get to work and secure the border now!
