John, it’s Senator Aaron Rouse. I just left Richmond, and you’re one of the first people I wanted to reach out to –
When I started my campaign for the State Senate, my goal was to expand voting rights and ensure that everyone in the Commonwealth, no matter where they come from, has the opportunity to succeed. And like everything else I’ve done in my life, once I have a goal in mind, I will never settle for just “good enough.” That’s why I was honored to serve as Chair of the Senate Privileges and Elections Committee, where I turned my goal into a reality – we passed legislation to protect voters from being purged from the voter rolls and to make Virginia Beach’s municipal elections fair and compliant with the Voting Rights Act. But that’s not all.
From patroning a historic marijuana bill that would open a regulated retail market in Virginia, to leading the charge to ensure our military and veteran families have access to safe, quality housing, and so much more – we accomplished a lot this session.
I’m reaching out because as the session closes, I need you to understand that our work isn’t over – it’s just beginning.
What we’ve been able to accomplish this session has inspired me to push even harder for progress. That’s why I’m calling on you, John, to join me in keeping up this momentum. There is so much work left to do – from safeguarding our elections to strengthening our economy, and I need to know you’re with me. Your support will help me get my message out, mobilize our support, and ensure we’re ready for any challenge. Will you be the first to make a $10 contribution now that the session is over?
If you have an ActBlue account, your donation will process immediately. |
The General Assembly session may be over, but there is so much more to be done. And John, if you stand with me, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
Sen. Aaron Rouse
