A PERSONAL NOTE

 

People can talk about New Year's Eve all they want but to me, there's no
time that feels like a fresh start more than the onset of Spring.

My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall because I like the change
inherent in them. There's something that just feels so good about
everything around me switching modes. Autumn makes me feel introspective
and cozy, but the energy surrounding Spring is entirely different.

It feels fresh, clean, and invigorating. The joyous sounds of the birds
returning, the buds all over the trees, the crocuses and daffodils
poking up and suddenly appearing, and that fresh rainy smell in the
air...it's just delightful.

I love the chance to open up all my windows, scrub every last corner of
my home, and kick out the last of winter. I switch over my pillow covers
and bedding to fresh, light colors, I get a bouquet of flowers, and I
start preparing for farmers markets, vegetable gardens, and spending
time outdoors.

You can have the holidays as "the most wonderful time of the year," as
the song goes. Just give me Spring.

How to Feed Your Family No Matter What

Having something to eat isn't guaranteed.

We're facing threats to our food supply from many different angles:
supply chain breakdowns, drought, food facilities being ravaged by
fires, skyrocketing inflation, and outright shortages. No longer can we
