Here’s why NY-24 is a top-tier race:
-NYS Board of Elections Data for NY-24 shows the number of registered Democrats growing, while the number of registered Republicans is declining.
-John Katko has been named by multiple political forecasters as one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents in the House.
-This is one of the last GOP-held districts that Trump lost in 2016. In the 2020 presidential election year, NY-24 turnout will boost Democratic chances.
Dana is the advocate we need fighting for expanded healthcare access, bold solutions to the climate crisis, common-sense gun safety laws, and getting big money out of politics. We know from 2018 that her platform can motivate big turnout -- and that enhanced organizing and outreach can put us over the line. If we stand with Dana right now, we can send John Katko into retirement in 2020.
We’ve got to close the gap to our end-of-quarter goal so we can organize now to flip this seat. Because she refuses to be accountable to anyone but the people, Dana never has and never will accept corporate PAC money, so she needs grassroots donors to step up right away to make sure we get there.
