Friend —

While the coronavirus relief bill was a good first step in the fight against this outbreak, make no mistake: There is much more work to do.

As more Americans stay home, lose their jobs, fall ill, or face other problems during this crisis, domestic violence survivors are at great risk.

We need to make sure survivors continue to have access to vital services and support systems. That includes ensuring shelters and domestic violence service providers get the necessary resources and supplies to keep their sites safe and secure.

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, we must redouble our efforts to aid our most vulnerable during this crisis. That’s why I’m calling on President Trump to ensure shelters and other services for domestic violence survivors are not cut off — and I’m asking you to join me.

These are challenging times and there is so much that remains uncertain about the road ahead.

I will continue the important work to deliver the resources our country needs to recover from this pandemic — but I will also make sure we’re doing right by survivors of domestic violence every step of the way.

My hope is that you will join me. Thank you.
