On Wednesday, the House voted to pass the first six spending bills needed to fund our government. While this is a good first step, the passage of this minibus was only possible thanks to Kim and her democratic colleagues, as 83 extremist Republicans bucked their party and voted against doing their job.

Funding our government should be simple, john, but things are never as straightforward when Republicans are in charge. They continue to put the lives of millions of hard-working Americans up in the air – all just because they cannot organize their party.

If this continues before the final March 22 deadline, government employees will have to work without pay, while critical services like education, health, and human services will be at risk of shutting down.

This is the chaos that Republican obstruction brings, and it's unacceptable, john.

Now is not the time for party politics. Now is the time for Republicans to meet Democrats at the table and ensure our government is 100% funded before the final March 22 deadline.
