Lesko in the News

Meet the terrorist next door, welcomed by Joe Biden

See my latest Op-Ed on Fox News here.

The Biden Administration has welcomed terrorists across our Southern Border with open arms, and some of them just might be your neighbors.

This is insane! The American people deserve better than having their safety endangered for a radical left agenda.

Lesko in Committee

This week, the Energy and Commerce Committee met to markup legislation. We will continue to work toward combatting the Biden Administration’s America last energy policies.

Also this week, in the interest of national and data security, the House Energy and Commerce Committee unanimously passed legislation that will require TikTok used in the U.S. not be controlled by China-owned ByteDance. For more information, click here.

GET THE FACTS: Bidenflation

President Biden has tried to convince the American people repeatedly that his economic policies are positive and working for middle-class Americans. So, let’s examine the facts and see if that’s truly the case. Since he took office, inflation has gone from 1.4% to 17.9%. Necessities such as electricity (28.6%), food (20.8%), and rent (19.5%) have all outpaced net inflation, along with frozen noncarbonated juices and drinks (29.0%). On average, Americans are spending more than $11,400 more annually to buy just the basics. Does this sound like something average hardworking Americans can afford? I don’t think so. According to a recent survey, even retirees are planning to return to work because of the Biden Administration’s effect on the economy, with one in eight retirees planning to return to the workforce in 2024. By looking at the facts it’s clear, while President Biden may say he’s working for middle-class American families, his economic policies are not.

Around the District

Team Lesko attended Veterans Affinity’s Coffee with Veterans. They celebrated Women’s History Month by recognizing and honoring women in attendance who served our country. Women veterans were given a pin, coin, and commemoration patch for their respective branches.

Team Lesko presented a Congressional Recognition to Eve’s Place in Sun City. They provide a network of resources to male and female domestic and sexual violence victims across the United States including a hotline, mobile, and legal supports in Sun City and the West Valley. Since 2004, Eve’s Place has served an estimated 10,000 victims throughout Arizona.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after the Department of Labor (DOL) did not provide the necessary documentation for a yearly physical required to continue receiving his federal pension. Since this was time sensitive and needed within 30 days of the constituent’s birthday, we contacted DOL and worked to correct the issue. We successfully obtained the documents for the constituent in time to get the physical and certified by DOL, ensuring no interruption to his benefits.

As a member of Congress, Congresswoman Lesko, has the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination for appointment. For more information click here.
