In Idaho,
we are close to submitting the required signatures. We need 1000 valid
signatures and will have collected double that by our turn-in date of
March 15. But to get it done, we had to hire petitioners at a cost of
nearly $10,000.
In Ohio,
we have collected over 8000 signatures in the past two
months, and expect to reach our goal of 10,000 signatures by the
middle of April, mostly with paid petitioners, which cost us about
$40,000.
In Alaska,
we are about halfway to our goal of 6000 total signatures, at a
cost of $18,000.
In Nevada,
our deadline is closer than it may seem- June 1, and we are
about one third of the way to our goal, having gathered 7000
signatures so far, at a cost of $20,000.
Just this week, we are launching
volunteer-led petition drives in New Jersey,
Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia. But
even volunteer-led efforts take money too, for printing, setting up
events, travel, and other administrative and clerical
needs.
Because of the cost of getting
ballot access, we have a $100,000 ballot access goal for March.
This is essential work to ensure voters have an
anti-genocide, anti-duopoly option in November and we need your help
today to make sure we don’t miss out in the remaining
states.
Can you chip in today to get Jill ballot
access?
