John – In the latest round of "You Can't Make This Stuff Up," yesterday Lauren Boebert unveiled what she's calling the "Build the Wall and Deport Them All Act."

Yes, you read that right. While we're out here fighting for the future, Boebert's solution is to take us back to medieval solutions for 21st-century challenges.

This isn't just about a wall. It's a symbol of what we're up against. It's a stark reminder that the battle for our nation’s future, our democracy’s very existence, is very much ongoing. And it's a battle we CANNOT afford to lose.

Here’s the thing: Coloradoans care about immigration. Our district has more unaffiliated voters than almost any other in the nation, and 80% of them cited immigration as a top issue this cycle.

Whether Lauren likes it or not, Colorado’s family farms depend on a reliable migrant labor force to produce the food that feeds our nation. Our guest workers and their families are deserving of respect and dignity. They put food on our tables and deserve as much a shot at the American dream as we do.

We need a humane and secure immigration bill that expands legal immigration systems and clears the backlog. THAT is what will reduce illegal immigration, and put us on the right track. Not a wall and mass deportations of people that are just waiting for their day in court.

But Lauren Boebert doesn’t care about farmers, the food supply, or migrant families who come seeking work and a better future. She’ll say whatever she has to in order to activate her base.

Every single time voters give them the opportunity to govern and solve real problems, Boebert and the rest of the MAGA wing put politics over people. Remember, this is the same Lauren Boebert who privately offered to support a zero-exception ban on abortion to quell any economic fallout from this type of immigration policy.

They killed the bipartisan immigration reform bill that gave them everything they wanted – all so their king Donald Trump could have talking points in November, and Boebert has wasted no time capitalizing on that, too.

It’s disgusting, and we deserve better. I’m running for Congress to work for real solutions. Help me flip this seat and let’s get the job done.
