Last month, the Alabama Supreme Court ruling threw in vitro fertilization (IVF) in jeopardy by granting personhood to frozen embryos.

Make no mistake, this is another attempt by extreme Republicans to strip people of their bodily autonomy. This ruling is not an isolated issue; it is a clear indication of a broader agenda to dismantle reproductive rights piece by piece across the United States.

Extreme Republicans were already emboldened by the overturn of Roe v. Wade to ban and criminalize abortions in dozens of states. It’s crucial we continue to push back.
