Friend,

We’re assuming you saw that McConnell’s reign of terror is coming to a close later this year. For the first time in decades, there will be a new Republican leader in the Senate. Why did we wait until now to send a message about it? Because we knew something else was coming. We knew the turtle had to show his true colors one last time before riding off into the sunset.

Remember Mitch’s “low energy” yet “groundbreaking” speech after the insurrection? You know, the one where he denounced Trump and actually showed a bit of courage for once? After that, it really seemed like the dynamic duo was headed for splitsville. And the years of Trump insulting his wife and calling McConnell “Old Crow” made it seem like the relationship was beyond a point of return. But at the end of the day, we always knew the two would reconcile. Orange bullies and spineless Republicans always seem to find their way back to each other.

That’s why Mitch endorsed his one and only on Wednesday. He buried the Trump-branded hatchet. He showed that even though his life was put in danger by Trump on January 6th, he’s still willing to destroy the party he has dedicated his life to, just for Donald. We know that he knows the dangers involved with another Trump presidency, but we also know that he is ready to throw this entire country away just to save face.

If we don’t stop Trump in November, we will be left with an entire party of this version of spineless McConnells. Elected officials who will do whatever the orange messiah says. People who will never stand up for what they believe in. And even if they do, they’ll fall right back into Trump’s tiny hands soon after. If you think it’s going to be anything short of a dictatorship, think again.

We’re calling on you to help us save democracy. Chip in to help us elect the right people>>
