 John, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Ken Calvert’s latest attack ads against Will come across my TV screen. Calvert is pushing lie after lie to distract from his own failed 30+ years in Congress. Let’s take a look at his record: On crime? He got caught with a prostitute and ran from the police. He voted just last summer to defund the FBI. He wants charges DROPPED for Jan. 6 insurrectionists. On LGBTQ rights? He voted no on recognizing gay marriage nationally, and sought to BAN it in California. On women’s rights? He voted AGAINST codifying Roe v. Wade, and even voted NO on the Violence Against Women Act. On democracy? He voted NO on certifying the 2020 election, and is fully on board the Trump train this November, too! John, Calvert can try to peddle false narratives as much as he wants, but we have the receipts. Calvert wants to make Will look like a soft on crime Democrat because Will has such a strong legal career, helping prosecute cartel members and January 6 insurrectionists, among others. We know what a disaster Calvert has been for our community -- and for our country. The good news is we can end Calvert’s career once and for all, and it starts here in CA-41.
