Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, On Thursday night, President Joe Biden delivered his 2024 State of the Union Address. I was honored to bring Yaa Agyeiwaa of Lawrenceville as my guest for the evening. Ms. Agyeiwaa is the Director of Community Partnerships and Resources for the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia. A first generation Ghanaian American, Yaa has a strong passion to serve mothers and babies in Georgia, and I was delighted to bring her with me to this year's State of the Union to underscore the need to improve maternal health outcomes in Georgia. This week, we also observed International Women's Day. Since coming to Congress in 2019, I have been honored to interact and serve with so many visionary women leaders. I was proud to take a moment this week and reflect on the remarkable impact these women are making on our state, our country, and the world. You are invited to a Community Violence Intervention briefing! For the second year running, I am honored to host a community event designed to inform local stakeholders about the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative funding opportunity made possible by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Joining me as special guests will be representatives from Community Justice, the United States Department of Justice, and Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. This event will take place on Thursday, March 28th at 10:00 am at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. To RSVP, you must order a free ticket on my Eventbrite page, located here. If you have any questions about this event, please do not hesitate to reach out to my district office by calling (470) 773-6330. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office. Sincerely, Lucy McBath Member of Congress By participating in or clicking this survey, you will be subscribed to receive e-newsletter updates. Office of Rep.
