Last night, I was honored to welcome former U.S. Army Captain and Green Beret John Frankman as my guest for the State of the Union address. Mr. Frankman served with the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) before voluntarily separating from the military due to hardships he faced for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Post-separation, Frankman has advocated for service members' rights and spearheaded the "Declaration of Military Accountability" campaign, demanding accountability from military leaders for the Armed Forces' deterioration due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
In what was closer to a campaign speech than an address to the nation on the state of the Union, President Biden spent a lot of time talking about democracy in another country and policy proposals that will compound the harm he has already done to our economy. He started his address, which is supposed to be about our country, pressuring Congress to send more taxpayer money to preserve democracy in Ukraine, a country where elections have been suspended. In reality, under the guise of supporting democracy, his most pressing concern was supporting a country with more taxpayer dollars that has removed the right to vote.
As he continued to yell (and sometimes whisper) at the country, he announced he had a solution to the crippling inflation his policies have created—sending $400 to Americans to help them afford mortgages for new homes. Except plowing more money into the economy will not bring down the cost of living for those it is intended to help—rather, it will only hurt them in the long term as inflation gets worse. The real solution is to cut spending, but President Biden and the Democrats’ will only take more and more deficit spending as the answer.

On Monday, I joined “Hannity” on Fox News to discuss my line of questioning in last week’s lengthy deposition of Hunter Biden. All Hunter Biden seemed to remember during the deposition was being high and not with his father during his business meetings. He described himself as a brilliant lawyer and financial wizard whenever he’s getting paid. But whenever he’s demanding payment, he can’t be responsible for his actions because he’s just a drug-addled fool!
I don’t think Hunter Biden is a fool, I think he’s a crook. I believe a bribe is consummated if family members are paid off, and that should be the standard for impeachment.

On Wednesday, I spoke during a House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance, where we discussed the joint efforts among federal, state, international entities, and non-government partners to identify and rescue victims of child sex abuse materials.
While testifying, Tim Tebow, a former professional football player and the founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation, called for a “rescue team” to save exploited children – all while the Federal Bureau of Investigation drains resources from this important work to target parents at school board meetings.
REP. GAETZ INTRODUCES LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE MISSED COMPENSATION TO SURVIVORS OF 1996 KHOBAR TOWER ATTACK
On Wednesday, I introduced legislation to allow survivors of the 1996 Khobar Towers attack, who were previously overlooked for missed compensation, to receive the “catch-up” payments authorized by the Fairness for 9/11 Families Act. Ultimately, my legislation would ensure that all survivors, including the brave service members residing in Florida’s First District, who bore the brunt of that tragic day are treated with the fairness and respect owed to them.
On the night of June 25, 1996, a bomb was detonated near the Khobar Tower housing complex in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The towers housed coalition forces supporting Operation Southern Watch, a no-fly zone operation in southern Iraq. As a result of the detonation, 19 U.S. service members were killed and 498 were wounded, some of whom reside in Florida’s First Congressional District.

On Wednesday’s episode of Firebrand, I was joined by Rep. Scott Perry to discuss wokeness in the military and why the military does not reflect his values anymore. We also spoke about the frivolous spending bill, where earmark money for representatives’ districts was included to buy their votes, and what we expected at this year's State of the Union address.
Additionally, I spoke about the Veterans Affairs secretary reversing course on a department memo aimed to ban VA displays of the iconic "V-J Day in Times Square" photograph. The famous picture is of a Navy sailor kissing a woman on the streets of New York at the end of World War II.

On Wednesday, I sent a request to Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz to investigate the election interference against President Donald J. Trump by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
The witch hunt against President Trump by Attorney General Garland and Special Counsel Smith is a partisan exercise, and the American people know it. The actions of Special Counsel Smith to speed up the trial against President Trump violate the DOJ’s rules and the law. His public comments and his office’s briefs before the Supreme Court demonstrate that he has no reason for his actions other than to unlawfully interfere in the 2024 presidential election.

On Thursday, I spoke on the House floor in opposition to the Biden administration considering draining $200 million of the U.S. Army reserves to send more money to Ukraine. The money appropriated for the U.S. Army reserves should be for the U.S. Army – not Ukraine.
We should never drain our Army of $200 million that should be going to military families, soldiers, and America’s capabilities. I called for an investigation of any efforts to drain U.S. Army reserves to fund this war in Ukraine, and I would invite my fellow members of the House Armed Services Committee to join me!

On Thursday, the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel held a hearing to scrutinize the Department of Defense's (DoD) medical data as it relates to health trends and the COVID-19 vaccine. This was a hearing that I requested after reviewing the DoD’s own data that shows alarming increases in medical issues following the department’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate. The aim was to uncover whether the DoD is obfuscating the truth around the correlation this data shows to the mandate by not acknowledging the vaccine’s potentially adverse effects on the health of service members.
