New Playground Coming to Rickel Park
We're thrilled to announce that a brand-new playground is coming soon to Rickel Park! The Hurst City Council approved the project on February 13, and staff is working with Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Waterparks to finalize the design.
The current playground is around 20 years old. Staff is unable to get replacement parts when things break. The Parks Division follows a replacement timeline for our playground equipment, and the Rickel Park playground is up on the schedule for replacement.
Our state-of-the-art playground is designed for children of all ages to have fun and let their imaginations soar! Get ready to swing, slide, and play to your heart's content at Rickel Park. The playground is anticipated to be open for play this summer.

CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community.
This training is sponsored by FEMA and managed by the Texas Division of Emergency Management and includes disaster preparedness, small fire suppression, basic medical procedures, and light search and rescue operations. Full participation is required to complete the course.
