Borne out of the struggle for women's rights in the workplace, at the ballot box, in the fight to hold public office and end gender-based discrimination, International Women's Day is our opportunity to recommit ourselves to the work of gender equality. Here at AFGE, we know that our union would not be what it is today without the steadfast commitment, leadership and resolve of the women activists of our union.

We honor the past, present and future women of AFGE and we are forever grateful for your contributions to the labor movement.
