Friend, as we celebrate International Women's Day today, it's impossible to ignore the reality that we find ourselves facing: Reproductive freedoms are under attack in America.
Radicals in Tallahassee and state capitals across the country are pushing increasingly extreme attacks on our right to choose. They're targeting abortions, birth control, and even IVF. This is a fight for the most basic of our rights — privacy, freedom, and the choice to live our lives as we please. And if we're going to win this fight, we'll need all hands on deck.
So before the end of International Women's Day, I'm asking you to add your name to my new petition and help me reach my 100,000 signature goal.
Please, friend, before midnight, will you sign my petition to declare your support for every woman's right to choose?
In the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we've watched in horror as ultraconservative extremists across the nation have rolled back our rights before our eyes.
Just the thought that my daughters will grow up with fewer rights than I've enjoyed for most of my life makes me sick.
But it goes to show that we can never take progress for granted.
So this International Women's Day, I'm asking you to recommit to this fight and refuse to give up, even when it's hard. We can't — not when these dangerous, regressive bans have left women's lives and futures at stake.
I vow to always fight — today and every day — for women's right to choose, to survive, and to thrive.
But I'm just one person, friend. I can't win this fight alone.
So if you're with me in the fight to restore abortion rights in Florida and nationwide, will you please be one of the 100,000 signers I need on board by midnight to prove to anti-choice radicals that we will never back down?
Our voices matter, friend — thank you for adding yours.
Happy International Women's Day,
Debbie
