Today is International Women’s Day, a day commemorating the social, political, and economic contributions and achievements of women throughout history. As we celebrate this month, today also reminds us of the work ahead of us.

The fight for voting rights and reproductive justice has been championed by courageous women for decades. Today, the battle to protect these fundamental rights to citizenship continues.

I’m proud to serve North Carolina’s 4th and be part of a generation of women committed to this work. In this critical election year, I’m focusing on electing progressives to Congress equally committed to protecting these crucial rights.
