John,
The Illinois primary is less than two weeks away, and while I'm on the ballot uncontested this time, I've been working hard to uplift other progressive voices.
|
John, I've said this before: my community is the reason that I ran for Congress in the first place. I wanted to do more to address the issues that our residents were most concerned about, and in just my first year, I'm proud to have:
1️⃣ Co-led the reintroduction of the American Dream and Promise Act in the House 2️⃣ Introduced a bill that allows tenants' to organize against unfair housing practices 3️⃣ Advanced legislation that would allow defrauded veterans a second chance at their education
And the work is just getting started. But looking ahead to November, I have this to say about who the GOP backed to unseat me:
|
Anti-choice, anti-immigrant, and anti-gun control, my opponent is too extreme of a voice to lead our community to a better future.
|
Thank you,
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez
