Dear neighbor,

Yesterday President Biden came to the Capitol to deliver his State of the Union address. His message was clear: the state of our union is STRONG and getting stronger. Under President Biden and Democrats, our economy has grown from the middle out and bottom up. We’re hard at work defending essential freedoms, lowering health care costs for working families and improving the safety of our communities.

In his speech, President Biden highlighted the progress our nation has made in the last few years and the strength of our economy. In the three years since President Biden took office, we have improved our nation’s infrastructure (including right here in Los Angeles County!), expanded health benefits for veterans and servicemembers and protected our communities from gun violence.

I want to hear from you: Which issue that President Biden discussed is most important to you and your family?

This is only the beginning—our future is bright. In his address, President Biden made clear that there’s more work to be done. House Democrats stand ready to continue our work on behalf of the American people.

President Biden’s address reminded me of the beauty and promise of the American Dream. I am hard at work with my colleagues in Washington to ensure that everyone has access to that dream and the tools needed to access it. We will continue our fight against extremists whose policies would drag our country backwards and threaten our democracy.

I look forward to continuing to work with President Biden and my colleagues in the House to make life better for American families.
