John,
Happy International Women’s Day!
Days like these allow us to reflect on how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go — when it comes to reproductive rights, equal pay, violence against women, and so much more.
It horrifies me to see my daughter growing up with fewer rights in Arizona than me.
Generations of women before us have fought for our fundamental rights. To vote, own property, have a credit card, marry who we want, and choose what we do with our own bodies.
The conservative majority on the Supreme Court set us back when they overturned Roe v. Wade. This decision was the result of a decades-long effort by the conservative movement in the United States, but our fight doesn’t end here.
If we allow ourselves to become complacent, conservatives will continue to undermine our reproductive freedom.
We’ve seen Republicans across the country start to attack in-vitro fertilization and access to birth control — and commit to a nationwide abortion ban if Donald Trump wins.
We won’t let that happen.
Southeast Arizona has an inspiring history of representation by women, from Gabby Giffords to Ann Kirkpatrick. I will be proud to follow in their footsteps in Congress and fight nonstop to protect abortion rights nationwide.
John, your grassroots support is what helps me fight for change.
We’re in one of the most competitive races in the whole country. Together, we can flip this district blue and continue the fight for women’s equality. We’ll need your help to win, so I have to ask: can you donate now?
