I stand on the shoulders of so many women who came before me and dared to get into good trouble. From the women who helped carry the torch for the Civil Rights Movement, to the women who had the audacity to be the firsts in their state to run and be elected to public office – including the Senate.

We've come a long way, but there's still so much progress we have to make.

That's why on this International Women's Day, I'm hoping you'll take the time to read my note about why it's crucial that we must elect more women to the Senate. Then, I'd be grateful if you chipped in to support our campaign and help us make history in Delaware. [[link removed]?]

This week, the United States Senate celebrated its 235th anniversary. In that time, there have been 2,003 Senators to walk its halls – but only 60 of them have been women, and just three of them have been Black women. It's unfathomable.

I've always believed that every little kid deserves a role model in government, and that voters deserve to see themselves in the leaders that they elect. Here in Delaware, women and people of color have been the exception. Our campaign is on a mission to change that.

I'm running to ensure that Delawareans have a Senator who isn't afraid to take on tough fights. But, Republicans in the Senate are desperate to flip Delaware and retake our Senate majority.

The way I see it is we can either work to make history, or we can sit back and allow a dark brand of politics win in November. Those are our options. I sincerely hope you'll join me in choosing the first by chipping in any amount to power our campaign – whether it's $10 or $100, I'm counting on your support. [[link removed]]
