Oklahoma,

What we heard last night was a bitter, partisan rant from Joe Biden, not a unifying State of the Union speech. The fact is Joe Biden’s past three years in office have been among the most destructive in history. No amount of spinning or twisting of the facts will change that. While Biden’s lifelong career in politics has blinded him to the needs of most Americans, Senate Republicans will continue to work to ease the cost of living for families, show strength on the world stage, secure our border, and unleash domestic energy. America is the land of opportunity, and we’re fighting to keep it that way. Watch my reaction to the State of the Union here. It's no secret that the Biden administration wants to overregulate every aspect of American life, including how workers decide to earn a paycheck.

The U.S. Department of Labor's disruptive new worker classification rule jeopardizes the ability of 27 million Americans to serve as independent contractors. I'm glad to join U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy in leading a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to overturn this rule and protect Oklahoma's independent contractors from Biden's endless government overreach.

I had some great meetings with Oklahomans in Washington. Check out a few of them below.

Thanks to the Oklahoma Credit Union Association for taking the time to visit with us and share the value these institutions bring to our communities.

I had the honor of meeting Oklahoma veterans and members of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) in Washington this week. We discussed ways of improving mental health, financial security, and civilian transition in the veteran community, in line with WWP's mission to improve the lives of our nation’s veterans.

Our firefighters represent some of the very best among us. I had the chance to say hello to members of Oklahoma City Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 157. Thank you for keeping the residents and guests of OKC safe. OKC is a better, safer community for the work you do.

I had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Richard Lofgren, President and CEO of OU Health. Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by and provide an update from campus.

Earlier this week, I joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business to weigh in on expectations for Super Tuesday, the ongoing border crisis, and the race to succeed Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. Check it out here

I also joined Dana Bash on CNN to discuss everything from the Senate leadership race to the Alabama IVF ruling, foreign aid, and more. Check it out here

This week, the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that states do not have the power to unilaterally disqualify President Donald Trump from the ballot. President Trump was back on the ballot in Colorado ahead of Super Tuesday, and the American people have the chance to decide who their next president will be. The Constitution has prevailed.
