Hi John,
A just and equitable world is built by all!
Today we commemorate and amplify International Womenโs Day. We also spotlight the continuing struggle of women to move the world and demand justice.
At Action Network and Action Builder, weโre proud to recognize the amazing impact of women on our team and in our movement.
As we do, we wanted to recognize a few of our powerful women-led issue organizations. Please join us in supporting their incredible work.
๐ 1000 Women Strong
1000 Women Strong is working at the intersection of politics and communal care, mobilizing to create a future โ and an America โ that is informed by the experiences and expertise of Black women. Their mission is to empower Black women across the country and mobilize them for action.
๐ Justice for Migrant Women
Justice for Migrant Women is committed to protecting the rights of migrant women. Defending the rights of this vulnerable, yet strong, population requires a multi-pronged approach that includes policy advocacy, legal referrals and representation, bolstering political capital, and creating strong networks and coalitions.
๐ Sister District
Proudly founded and led by women, including women of color, Sister District has grown to 70,000+ volunteers nationwide. They have endorsed candidates in 167 races across 18 states, 107 of whom won and have gone on to fight for progressive issues in their state legislatures.
๐ Sisters Lead Sisters Vote
Rooted in the Black community, Sisters Lead Sisters Vote was formed and founded by a group of Black women leaders to be a voice for the interests of Black women and their families.
๐ Women's Equity Center and Action Network
WE CAN is committed to a society where informed, engaged, and motivated women of color are leading efforts that facilitate social justice, equal opportunity, and improved quality of life for all.
Happy International Women's Day!
In Solidarity,
