Oklahomans just got one step closer to raising their minimum wage this November.

The Oklahoma Supreme Court just ruled organizers can begin collecting signatures to get it on the ballot, and once they do, voters will get to decide on raising the state’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $15.

This is the type of real, tangible change local activists make for their communities — but they often don’t get credit for the impact they have on our lives.
