John,

Last year in Minnesota, with a paper-thin majority, we made significant progress to strengthen abortion rights, expand paid family leave, combat climate change, and protect our communities from gun violence. 

Now, we must be bold with our progressive plans and keep working together to do even more for Minnesota families. 

We also need to be bold in calling out Republicans for their harmful actions.

Let’s call it like it is: The GOP is the party of dysfunction that touts an extreme agenda that’s morally wrong. They want our freedoms to be the casualty of their cultural wars.

I won’t stand for it, and I hope you won’t either.

It’s my job as Chair of the DGA to take a leading role in electing Democrats to governor’s offices nationwide, either by reelecting Democratic governors or flipping governor seats from red to blue.

Currently, GOP governors—including MAGA extremists like Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas—run 26 states, while Democratic governors head 24 states.

We have an opportunity to improve those numbers in 2024. Your grassroots support will enable us to take our winning ways in Minnesota to other states across the country.
