**Our Country Needs Immigration Solutions, President Biden and Congress
Must Act**

**WASHINGTON, D.C. -** President Joe Biden emphasized the need for
border and immigration solutions in his State of the Union remarks last
evening.

"We're encouraged that the president highlighted the current border
challenges and the need for immigration reforms," said

** Jennie Murray, President and CEO of the National Immigration
Forum. **

"Now more than ever, our country needs the president and Congress to
address immigration reforms and pave the way for practical solutions
that make America safe, strong and welcoming. We need Congress to take
the president up on his offer, when he said, 'let's fix it.'"

The Forum has said it before: Americans want leaders
 who address immigration
issues and offer solutions
.
Early this week, the Forum introduced "A Better Way Forward: 2024
Immigration Principles."
 We
hope that these principles can direct leaders working for an orderly,
secure and humane immigration system
