Last night, President Biden addressed our nation in his final State of the Union speech of his first term.

John, I agree with my dear friend Joe that our union is strong and getting stronger.

Under Joe Biden’s leadership, the American comeback is thriving. He’s led us in the fight to cap prescription drug costs so Americans don’t have to break the bank just to receive the medication they need to survive. He’s spearheaded our efforts to get our economy back on track, where unemployment is now at a 50-year low and our inflation rate is one of the lowest in the world. He’s made good on his promise to create American jobs that use American products, so we are decreasing our reliance on other nations to get us by.

It isn’t just about the wins, though, John. It’s about where President Biden wants to take us when he’s re-elected. His vision is downright inspiring.

Imagine a United States of America where billionaires and corporations pay their fair share, and the middle class isn’t left with the bill; where a woman’s right to choose is protected, not denied; where families can afford homes because they aren’t saddled with student loan debt; where our democracy is defended and strengthened so everyone can ensure their voice is heard. This is the future I want to see, and I hope you do, too.

President Biden said last night that “history is watching.” This is our chance to keep moving our country forward – and it all starts with re-electing Joe Biden to the White House and giving him a Congress that will enact his bold vision.
