John, last night’s State of the Union made one thing crystal clear: We need to re-elect Joe Biden and deliver a Democratic House majority.

Last night, President Biden shared his vision for this country, and contrasted his message of American optimism with the dark reality of what we endured — and would again — under President Trump. He called out the Supreme Court and Donald Trump for fighting to overturn Roe v. Wade and undermining the rights of women across this country.

He called on Congress to act to make sure that no billionaire is paying a lower tax rate than a teacher or a sanitation worker. He called out Republicans for putting Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block. He talked about bringing good paying union jobs back to this country.

And President Biden is right, John, that if we want to defend our democracy, protect abortion rights, and create a better future for us in Western PA — we need to deliver a Congress that’s willing to make it happen with President Biden.

That’s why I’m running for re-election in PA-17.

The danger of letting our democracy fall into the hands of Donald Trump and the most extreme Republicans is too strong to stay out of this fight.
